I just bought a rc truck called Savage. I,m told it's only 2years old and the kid only ran 3 tanks of fuel thru it when his older brother messed with the carberator and they could never get it to do more than a rough idle. There was no paperwork with it. I'm tryin to find out some info on it, such as engine size, the factory settings for the carberator, etc.... and who do I need to contact to retrieve manual and parts list???? Thanks a lot in advance......Tom

hpi's website. Thats an hpi savage with a .25 (if its stock)engine. look around on hpi's website they should have a listing for legacy models with parts lists and online manuas, specs, and all that fun stuff.

doesn't look to bad for $120. did you get the radio and everything? There's a big following for those trucks, parts are easy to find, and lots of hop ups.

Yep! Everything but the manuals. I went to that site you suggested, but can't find the Savage25. I'll find it eventually . Thanks for your help. I've got to find out what the factory settings for the carberator are. (How many turns out is the low idle screw, and high idle screw, ) so I can get her fired up!!

Ok... My Friend you have a Nitro Star 25 Engine..go to HPI website and down load your maunal there
Your high side needle is 4 1/2 from closed Your low side is 3 from close and your carb gap is 2mm
My son has the same truck and yes the information is at the web site..Hope this helps..
Just my 2 cents worth...

yes, as you can tell by other's replys, its a savage 25 with a .25 engine in it. As for the tuning needles, if you cannot find the manual for it then there is always youtube... it may seem silly but go to www.youtube.com and search for savage 25 engine tuning. On there you will find videos instructing you on how to tune your truck to factory settings and then to optimum performance (including how many needles turns are needed). I think the videos were produced by HPI anyway so thay may be on the website. hope it helps. Sam
