Thanks for the sticky Ben. We had a full day flying today with lots of sun. We had a bit of wind, but it didn't seem to slow anyone down.

I will get some pics posted tomorrow. It is getting late now and I have a long day tomorrow.

yeahbaby -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 4:19:28 AM)

weather was fine today, a bit of a xwind but everyone flew and had no problems (well....except for the Great pumpkin F-4 taxiing off the runway while watching me land off the runway!!!!! too funny)

Don, hopefully the weather won't develop as forecast amigo, but with the predicted front passing through I'm sure we'll get our share of T-storms.

spent most of today walking off the 7 hour drive, saying hello to everyone, giving Phil Nuza crap about his AD F-100 (just kidding bro' ) and sneaking in 4 flights on my Bobcat. charging up my TJ A-Fo and plan on getting some more stick time on her tomorrow.

puttin faces to RCU names was fun and spent some time in-between flights grazing on "Jane's" Chocolate chip cookies. they are every bit as good as has been described on previous threads.

there are folks out there taking pix and hopefully we'll see them soon but i'll do my best UJ impersonation with my buddies digi-cam as a back up.

this place is all about great food, flying and friendship.

I look forward to it every year

cheers
buck

Buck texted me that Alan Cardash was in attendance again and brought a "pocket Boomerang" for the MW44...apparently it is only knee-high to a cricket [)] and really moves out. Anyone take pics of the little bugger (in between dodging today's rainstorm)?

Barry

Don Perry -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 7:33:20 PM)

Looks like we will be there around noon on sat due to weather.

BCoston -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 9:55:37 PM)

Here are some more.
Barry I think I have some pics of the little "Nano" Boomerang.

BCoston -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 10:00:38 PM)

Here is the little Boomer, it is called the Nano and was flown by Alan and Paul Lott

BCoston -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 10:08:05 PM)

Here is a beautiful A-10 flown by Phil Nuza. I think the A-10 belongs to Rick "Bagosticks" Brussard from Louisiana.

BCoston -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 10:13:33 PM)

One more for now, this was Scott Harris showing why it is called Mississippi "AFTERBURNER".

Roger Shipley -> RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2008 event coverage. (5/2/2008 11:54:15 PM)

Man, OMan, the Broussard aka ROSE finally got a hawg in the air.
Now that really gives my old heart a delight ! ! !
I almost have to be there to believe it and would have been if I would have only BELIEVED ! ! !
Now that's a Roger
