Several years ago I purchased a Hitec Optic 6 w/spectra module and liked the radio so much that ended up purchasing a 2nd radio. I have used them with great success. I used one for my main radio and the other as a buddy box. Over the years one of the modules started coming loose on one radio ended up being my permanent buddy box. Now, however, my "good" radio seems to be having severe issues. I ended up destroying three planes before I realized that it was the radio and not my lame flying skills. In each of the three crashes the same thing happened. The radio worked fine for several flights but by the time I got to the third flight I would lose all radio contact. For my first crash I was flying inverted several about 10 feet off the ground and although I thought I might have lost radio contact, I blamed myself for burying the plane into the ground. My second crash happened while flying about 100 feet in the while doing loops and when I recovered the crashed plane it appeared that the receiver crystal was missing so I again blamed myself. However, my third crash occured with a brand new Mini Funtana X with all new everything and the radio just gave out and I had absolutely no control and just watched the plane nose dive from several hundred feet all the while trying to gain any control from the plane.

On my buddy box radio the spectra module is obviously loose and you can lose contact just by wiggling the radio. On my second radio the spectra module is much more secure but this is the radio that I just crashed 3 planes with and it is obviously having problems although I cannot duplicate it just by wiggling.

Any suggestions? Can I send both of these radios in for servicing and expect them to be reliable in the future?
