Status: offline 		I was wondering what kit would be the best for a corsair. I really like the 40 size kit from Great Planes. I've had a pt 40 kit and the plane was solid and could take alot of abuse. I'm currently flying a 40 size 4 star and my next question is I'm I ready for a warbird I've been flying about 3 years and think my skill level is pretty good

Status: offline 		people rave about the Top Flight gold edition , now if you simply want to hone your skills with a small investment try a H9 corsair arf , its the best flying fun scale warbird outthere

Status: offline 		I can only speak about the Top Flite corsair. If it will be your first warbird, I would recommend covering it with monocote (or similar), put fixed gear on it, put a .90 2-stroke in it and keep it as light as possible. Mine had a Saito 1.20 in it before I crashed it and was much heavier. It now has a Super Tigre .90 in it and is much easier to fly. It is a little slower, but for me, that is okay. Good luck!

The Great Planes 40 size F4U Corsair is easy to build and flies great. A 46 2 stroke or a 65 4 stroke will fly it nicely. I modified mine with a K&B 61 2 stroke and .60 size Robart Retracts. The nice thing about this little Warbird is that it can fit in a car easily. Best of luck to you.
