Bashing an ARF FW190 , I want to move the Alerons servos and Flap servos ahead of the CG , this will take the rod length from aprox 3.5" to aprx 7"
I am useing 4-40 HD rods ect , well supported , only good quality horns ect .Dose any perceive a program
Plane is 70" in span , aleron length is semi scale according to plans ectmy goal is to reduce overall weight needed on nose to achieve CG

Its been my experience that small weight changes near the CG do not make much of a change. I would rather find a way of removing 1/4 to 1/2 ounce from the tail than double the length of control rods. If the flaps are pull then no problem. What drives the rudder and elevator. Changes to the GP Chipmunk to these controls really helped.

Well the problem with every Fw190 I have seen on this website from KMPs , CMPs ect is that the builders are adding upwards of 24oz or more to achieve CG.
I have a G26 ei going on the nose , and sierra retracts are set in the most ideal position , so my next goal was to play with the servo . The flaps can be set up as "push" internally and very scale or pull externally and not so scale , my goal was more of a push system .
Considering that I have flown many 70" birds and the servos for rudder and elevator on carnbon fiber rods have been flawless I figured well supported alerons and flaps rods wouldbe ok . Obviously my concern is flutter , I know I can eliminate flex so that is not a concern .

Also when you add up 4 servos , two for alerons and two for flaps thats a big weight savings ahead of the CG .
