I think the Traxxas one has a 550 motor which means a a little bit more torquey. But when you put the common 540 motor into it it will only take 15turns which the Losi will take 12t.

OK, the most common motors are 540 size. But the Titan 12t is a 550. 5500's have a little more accelrstion, bt not as much top speed. The only bad thing about the XL-5 is when the Titan 12t burns out a couple of times and you want a new one, you will have to go up to a 15t motor which won't produce the same speeds. But the Losi ESC is 12t on any motor so you can get a good 540 12t motor and you can fly.

neither one of them are nitro, so im not sure why they are posted here. either way though, they are both way different from each other. the slash looks more like a real vehicle you might see racing acrossed baja.
to me, the DT looks more real, look at these pics
the dt LOOKS MORE REAL??? as compared to what ??? try looking up an actual picture of a pro-2 coor race truck. at the coor website for example. or if you can find a picture of a real truck that looks anything like the losi dt because there arent any . i have never seen a real race truck with 4 foot tall tires and a body 3 feet wide with a track width of 9 feet and a wheel base of 9-1/2 feet <all approximations of course > but you get the picture . simply put .. the slash is a scale vehicle modeled after a REAL vehicle. and the losi ....well it is a xxxt with a few plastic bumpers and a new body and tires none of which were modeled from anything in the real world. not to bash losi because i have raced losi's since jr and pops losi at the ranch pit-stop decided to introduce the jrx buggy about 20 some years ago . granted the losi is a pro level racer and the slash is not . however the slash and other yet to be released kits are a true scale rc experience that may very well bounce up to the pro level . as soon as you see proline making ivan stewart and other famous coor drivers bodies and tires , and other after-market companies get on board we will have the makings of a true new class of racing trucks. personally i think scale racing is going to BOOM here is a picture of corr trucks racing at crandon wi.

it's CORR not coor. And the DT wasn't based off a corr truck so your comparing apples to oranges. And looking at that pic, the Slash doesn't look anything like one of those.
