Hello guys, I am looking for a good charger-balancer, discharger at a good price, I found this on ebay.....

http://cgi.ebay.ca/RC-Hyperion-EOS-0606i-DC-CHARGER-BALANCER-6S-6A-max_W0QQitemZ370042949401QQihZ024QQcategoryZ34056QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247

Is that a good charger????? some suggestions or comments???? I will be using mainly the charger for lipos for my t-rex, but I want 6S though, in case I want to get something bigger after I want a charger to charge Tx, Rx batteries as well I think this has it. I was thinking about a Triton but I didn't like the idea that it doesn't come with a balancer and I have to get one, this hyperionr charger seems to have the built-in balancer and is seems to be a hint..... does anyone know it or have one, comments?????? is it a good price?????????

Thanks guys!

I don't know about that charger, but. What I bought recently is the FMA charger based on recomendations of a club member. Doc

I bought the fma charger and really like it . It shows how much you put back in and its easy to use.
Get the power supply and balance adapter.

i have the larger version of that charger matador. It is a great charger for just charging. unfortunately it is very hard to find the balancing adapter to run align batteries off of it... i ended up making my own because no one had them in stock.

Another thing is that you can't recharge an over discharged battery with it. i have a 3s that is .6 V below its rating and the charger WILL NOT charge it back up. I even tried tricking it to make it think that it was a NiCD/NiMH etc without success

I bought the bigger one like i said and it was $160 retail from my LHS. you need the optional chord to charge NiMH/NiCd batts so for your Tx you would need that. It is very easy to switch through charge modes and to set voltage/# of cells etc.

Like Foot Doc said, I can't speak for that charger, but I can speak for the following one from Thunder Power, the 610C

http://www.thunderpowerrc.com/html/cba/610C.html

I purchased one about two weeks ago, loved it so much I bought a second one to I can charge my two 2100s at the same time. I have a 450 and 500 so I use two 2100s in series on the 500. The charger has a belt in balancer and for only $129 is awesome. It charges ALL types of batteries including A123!!!!

I highly recommend it.

i have that charger bud and the fma cellpro 4s.

the cellpro for 75 bucks is a better charger/balancer hands down but the cellpro limits you to 4s and that hyperion is a good 6s charger the only problem with the hyperion is that its 50a so if you do charge a big 6s lipo its going to take an hour or so.

i use the cellpro for the 450 and the hyperion for my 500

the TP 610C is a great charger to and is rated at 80a and that makes it a better charger for 20 more at rchover

Always remember, you get what you pay for. When messing with Li-Po batteries, spend the extra few dollars. Using cheap chargers can cause you to potentially burn down your house. Friend of mine in CA, burnned up his garage with a cheap charger and not paying attention. Pay the frieght!!!!

I have two the more powerful version of that charger and really like them. As stated above, the 0606i is only rated at 50W so charging 6S packs may take a while depending on their size. Overall I have been very happy with my Hyperion chargers.

If you can live with a DC only model and don't need to charge above 4S the CellPro4S is probably the best bang for your buck. You might also look at the new Thunder Power 610C.

If you really want an AC/DC charger you can also check out the Bantam BC6. Good luck with your decision.

Here is a pic of my charging station.

Boytoys, I don't know enough about this to know how to use al the things you have on that organizsed work bench, but I recognize an expensive piece of real estate when I see it. You have some bucks tied up in this. Ah but it looks like a slippery slope we are ( I am about to ) slide down...

RCReport writes about the TME charger. Anybody use on of them on bigger systems? Doc

I have an earlier version (a little less benefits than the one you want to buy) and it works great for me, I have been flying my Trex for about a year now and I have only used my hyperion charger, no problems.
Now I even use it as a field charger for my Nicd batteries on my planes.
I had to buy a balancer because the one I bought did not come with balancer, but as I can see the version that you are looking for have the balancer included, thats a 50 dlls savings.
