Status: offline 		I just bought an eHawk 2000 glider and have been looking for a brushless/esc/prop upgrade that will work with my 11.1v 20c 2100mah and 1800mah lipo's I already have.

the threads on this glider with peoples recommendations are now outdated and their links no longer work.
Idlike to have enough power to climb vertically so i can pull out of trouble, and more than anything to help me get my head around how much power is needed for a given weight of glider.

Thanks everyone. id really apreciate your expert advice here.

Status: offline 		IM in the same boat (the dreamline , f5j baby fly e)

you may want to go with E flight for mine its $$$$$$$$$$$ motor and esp 150 ( hacker 22-22L /spin 22 esp) have to wait on the spinner

E flight may bolt right in also

Status: offline 		thanks bro, not sure i follow all those terms im a complete numbskull when it comes to all these numbers associated with motors.
i think i might just get the most powerful motor and esc i can buy and just go for it, its not as if im gonna be using the power all the time.

you'd think with so many motors and esc's out there id have 100 options, but theres so many not even the experts can throw just one option at me, i get the feeling they are just as bewildered and there setups are trial and error. heck not even shops can advise me and they stock the damn things lol

Status: offline 		what size motor was it set up for??? if came with any

example (600 size motor) for 2m plane

I think the most you can get is a ( 400 or a 480 class motor /25 amp esp ) your plane may be to heavy for this set up im not sure
my 71" glider or 180 cm 1800 mm this will work all up weight is 20 0z to 24 oz

the motor that came with it is a 540 brushed motor. i dont intend on using it cos they burn out after just 40 flights and wont take my lipo's.

xx-xx-xxxx
the first number is can diameter ( mm)
the 2nd is can lenght (mm)
the 3rd is output rpm/v (kv)

your not alone i have a hanger 9 aspire same problem

this link shoes a glider like mine, same size and weight (close enough) and down the bottom they show a brushless alternative and the lipo the suggest is 25c not 20c, if i knew my lipo would run that motor and esc id go with that.

Status: offline 		that is a sweet plane a club member has one he put an rc car brush motor in it and never had a problem i do not remember what he had

tower gpmg4600 35-30-1450 may work
esp ss 45 gpmm 1840 minimum lipo is 3 cell 2100 9x6 prop this may work i may be wrong

that setup sounds about right to me but i might go for a 60amp
