Well summer is almost here and my lst2 is still sitting crippled in my room. I need to get it fixed but so far i have only done more harm than good.

so far i have lost my manual that came with the car so i have nothing to go by for working on it. i hope to fix many MANY things on it.

First thing i have to fix is the thing i broke trying to find something else to fix. and that is the screws that hold the skid plate in. well long story short the screws that hold the skid plates in had stripped out heads.. so i could not remove the skid plates to get workin on the car. to remedy this i tried to drill out the heads.. so i could pull the skids off and then screw out the screw shafts with pliers well unfortunatly i drilled to far and now there is no way to get the threads outa the actual plastic side rails.. they are flat even ... I would really like some tips on fixing that..

then once i get that finished i need to purchase and install a new motor mount and i have no idea how to do that.

then finally once i get all that done i have to fix either my transmition, clutch. or some other thing that would keep a truck from moving when have it at a good throttle.

if i can get a camera i will upload some pics.

Wow thats a delima with the screws !!! LETS see !!! you could drill them out the rest of the way !! and re thread the holes! OR if they make them small enough buy extractors for the screws!

try a dremmel and slice a slit in the end of the screw and use a straight screw driver to remove it

Or get new side rails, and be more carefull next time . As for motor mounts, you don't need to remove anything, just 4 screws from bottom and engine/mounts come out all together. The truck not moving when giving it throttle is most likely the one way bearing in the 2 speed. It will be inside the biggest(1st)plastic gear housing. Good luck with it all!

If you lost your manual check out the Team Losi site and got to vehicles. Check out the LST2 and download the manual and all of the exploded views you want for free. Either save them to your computer or print them up.. EASY

Go to sears and buy a set of screw extractor bits for your drill. You basically drill a small hole in the end of the screw, insert the other end of the screw extractor into the hole with the drill in reverse and the screw extractor threads itself in backwards and then it backs the screw out. viola....
