Status: offline 		I am interested in buying a plane (a large glider), but neither I or the guy who will sell it to me knows what it is. It is a 2m straight wing (no dihedral) glider with a long fuse and full-flying elevator. It only has elevator plus ailerons, no rudder. The plane looks like a Great Planes construction, but I am not sure of the origin. It is supposed to be a high speed slope racing glider. The price of the plane is 80 dollars and it has only been flown twice. It requires a metal gear micro and two Nylon gear micros for the wings. The plane has some decals that say "Futaba" but I doubt that this is the manufacturer of the plane. Someone told me it looks like a "SunDancer" but I am not sure of this source so I am asking for help here.

Status: offline 		If someone has had the fun of building it why pay top $$ for their enjoyment?? I maintain that the price should be the kit plus max. 1/2 price electronics if included. Today I sold my 1/5 scale LO100 with 5 servos for £50 (approx $100) and felt well satisfied that it had gone to a good home, $500 would NOT have sold it to an idiot. The last penny gives no satisfaction.

The plane cost him 75 dollars and he will sell it to me for 5 more dollars because he took the time to build it. Building is not enjoyment, it is time and effort. If you buy a plane and give it to a guy to build it, he will obviously charge you a fee won't he? Because he is putting effort and time into the building, he expects and should be rewarded with something. Also, why half price electronics if they are new? That would be a total waste of money for the seller... You say you sold your plane for one hundred dollars, but then you say that 500 dollars would be too high a price. I don't understand this. What is the plane's value if bought from a supplier already built? You say it is a 1/5 scale with 5 servos... Wouldn't that be worth much over 500 dollars...?

I need to know what this plane IS so I can do some research about it online. I have found out that the plane comes in kit or ARF form but the guy built it from a kit someone sold to him. The box was unlabeled and blank, (Only had a picture of the plane on each face) and the only indications were the construction manual and a small price tag that said the name of the store it was bought from.

Status: offline 		Building is not a chore, it is part of the enjoyment of model flying - unless you are one of the sad 'take it out of the box and fling it' types. I spent probably 50 hours building the LO 100 and no-one can pay me enough for the pleasure it gave to create such a machine Note PLEASURE!
I recently put a 1/4 scale Salto together for a pal. I did not expect a penny for my time and effort but the feeling I got when he first flew it, saw his expression and joy, was worth more than any money. Bucks aint everything. Electronics? How much would you pay for a 2 year old PC? Used, out of date and probably misused. If it isnt NIB it isnt worth a damn - I certainly wouldnt fly with such an item. As an afterthought, the session in the pub - with the good English ale on him - after the flight was worth it all!

Status: offline 		Sorry for your misunderstanding. The ARF/Kit cost the guy 70 dollars. He bought all the extras (covering, horns, extensions), and he is selling it without servos. I will buy the servos new from a hobby store. The guy is not really charging any money for the building. Anyways, here in Peru, people don't have that much money. When people here build something to sell it they will charge about 20 bucks for the building. (20 More than what the kit cost) If not they would be losing money and would not be able to buy planes of their own. Anyways, the point of this post is not about arguing about the cost of workhand, but instead the identification of a glider. I do not wish to continue arguing about this. Now, does anyone here know what this plane is called so i can research it on the internet?
