Yes, if you want them RTR, they will be listed for $60 more. Most people are not getting the radio, since they want Spektrum or Nomadio.

If you plan on pre-ordering, Rampagehopups has a program for testing of some hopup parts for pre-order holders.

OK, I have the first 2 out of the box and they look great.

The packaging was better for this type of 1/5th scale. They used a huge wiretie on each corner to tie the buggy down to a flat cardboard frame.

The wheels are some kind of black plastic, but they are really shiny, like a gloss black chrome. The beadlocks are chrome and look even better. I hope they keep this as an option or even keep them on the production vehicles. The wheel nuts are not knurled on the inside, so make sure you locktite them on, or switch to a Baja wheelnut for the time being. I will be using DardSoul enclosed nuts.

The charger is well, just cut off the wires and throw out the AC adapter.

The battery is a NiMh, 2000 Milliamp. Has a tiny charging jack, forgot the name of it.

The bodies are very thick and covered in a clear plastic film, but the film comes off and shows the shine of the body. They are pre-painted in white, black and blue. They attempted to make some kind of carbon fiber pattern. Stickers are inlcuded for headlights and some other stuff. Clear bodies will be available soon from the factory. The bodies are a tight fit, so some trimming may be needed to make it faster to get on and off.

The muffler is a stock stuffed CY version with the stinger, so ask one of your baja buddies to borrow an SS black muffler for the time being. I have a few left over, so my peeps will get a gutted can in thier boxes. Throw the stinger out.

I'll be trying different types of tuned exhaust in the next few days, and installing a 28.5CC head kit on the Monster Truck. The buggy will probably get an X-can for the time being.

Some pics:

Looks like the Side mount DDM Dominaotr will not fit, as well as most others for the baja. TeamGoNads will start a new pipe design this weekend.

PhatDad-RC shock shafts are now available for those that wish to partake in some abusive behavior.

According to RedCats site, ground clearance is 2.8inches. Oops, sorry, that's the truck, the buggy is 2.16inches

Yeah, for a $50 difference I think it's just going to be a matter of preferance and terrain. My wife has been wanting a truck for a long time, so, this fits the bill.

yeah i will robably get the buggy and put monster weels on it

these trucks don't fit my imediate bill but over here fuel is 45$ a gallon. if i were to get a big block nitro i estimated that that would cost me about $400 a year on fuel

That would be a bad idea, the cars are geared for a final drive ratio based on the size of the tires. If you did that, you'd lose a lot of bottom end and go through clutches much faster. Furthermore, a set of monster wheels for any 1/5th MT is a LOT more than $50. Just get the edition you want.

i know, but here is the thing: i hate monster truck style body's and i hate their tendency to flip over and i think this monster truck stock is a bit underpowered.....and really if there difference in groung clearence is really only .64 of an inch than the buggy should have enough clearence for me anyway

plus i don't think that mt will fit in our trunk
