Hi all! Was wondering if anyone knows if you can use align blade grips on the blade 400? Im using the align 325 pro woodies with a shaved down spacer i made from a pair of mangled stock blades. When i spool up i get a nice little wobble until head speed picks up. I have made sure blades are not too tight in grips or too loose either...also swash is level as can be ...shaft is new and true ...blades are balanced...and belt has proper tension. If you spool up and then stop and tighten up the blades so they are a bit more stiffer than they should be i dont get that wobble at startup as they are pretty much centered from the previous spool up. im guessing that the thinner pro woodies with the spacer are taking longer to center themselves at spool up...maybe spacer and blade surface friction is the problem? Anyway, if the align blade grips will fit i would just use them.. i dont like the stock blades...too many distortions on 3 pair purchased from lhs.

More precision in the parts will make for less slop in the linkage and a better flying bird right? B400 just got better. At last, better replacement parts coming to a LHS near you or http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=EFLH1144 . If your LHS does not have them then say if H H has them why don’t you? Only when customers start asking for this will we see it in the LHS. I tried the method you used on the align blads and got the same results. Go to your other LHS (local hardware store) and find some nylon washers that fit.

bear in mind, too many shims will cause a wobble too. ad 1 shim on each side at a time, then fly in-between.
