ORIGINAL: rftusa2008 Too early but finally here. I bailed out from 6 feet getting too close to a wall. I landed on grass but the damages were bad....bent boom, main shaft, feathering shaft, fly bar shaft, broken main blades, tail boom brace, boom fin stabilizer. I was lucky my electronics are intact. My tail servo is sitting up high. I thought from looking at the bent boom, my servo was also damaged. I checked my crash kit...everything I need to rebuild is already on hand. I should be up and trying to fly again in a few days. Shoot, that's no big deal! [)] It is the electronics that are really expensive. Those other parts are fairly cheap. It's never nice to crash your Heli (I crashed mine for the first time this year yesterday), but it is going to happen. Just rebuild and take the opportunity while you have things apart to check EVERYTHING to make sure it is working properly. For example, my crash took out my blades, main shaft, feathering shaft and most of the ball links on my head. While I was repairing her, I found that the screws that hold the one-way bearing on the main gear were loose. This made the main gear wobble around terribly. I saw it right away and fixed it.
