Thanks.

Maybe one day I'll get it finished.

I did have a video of the test run, but something happened to it and now it won't open or play.

Over_revO, now you have to make a starter box to start both engines

Thx

Ive hit 58mph in like 4 second single speed.

The 2 speed will soon be installed, with a slightly slower 1st speed and wider 2nd speed. Best of both world.
With HPI Phaltline onroad tires. AS mentionned just the tires will make a huge difference.

I cant wait to see it myself LOL

this is probably a stupid question but, how can you put a motor on both side of the flywheel?? How is that accomplished??

Styk97: one engine on each side of the spur gear.

JBcomp: Right now its still single speed , i modified the 2 speed into a one speed to eliminate the center diff, it have 14T clutchbells and 51T spur gear (instead of 47T stock)
With the MT wheels it really widen the gearing.

14T is the stock gearing on the buggy, it still have the buggy diff pinion.

I think the Violator have the same diff and gearing as your LX comp.

For the 2 speed it will be:

1st gear: 12T bell/51T spur
2nd gear: 16T bell/47T spur

Should get it over 65mph if everything go well.

Killer project! Very nice! Lookin forward to seeing what kind of speeds it can pull off.

BTW, I find it incredibly funny that a user with the nickname "billzkustomz" can't appreciate a truly custom project like this, and even has the audacity to call it a waste!! If that's not ironic, I don't know what is. I'll bet his idea of "kustom" is bolting on some store-bought aftermarket aluminum pieces. Just have to ignore people like that.

Keep up the good work.

You cant get down on the the truck with both engines running because your diff gears would be done wouldnt it? Ever thought about getting them made in titainum or something?

You probably could just use a 18t CB with the 47T spur. Then you need to find a clutch that came handle the power.

14T /47T was too wide for single speed, ill see if the 12T-16T 2 speed clutchbell is wide enought, if its not then ill have to get the 13T-17T.

I think/hope ill be fine with the 12T-16T

Update!

I have received my wheel extensions and the HPI Phaltline tires.
The last set of gears is supposed to arrive next week!

Then it will be 2 speed.

Heres some pics of the new look:

All it will need then its the second turbo head button to have optimal performance, but ill do a top speed run after the 2 speed will be installed.

Cheer!
