Over_revO -> My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/4/2008 7:48:23 PM)

Hi guys,

im new to this forum and thought i should share a project i did during last winter.

I built a twin engine truggy.

Spec:
-2 ABmods drag modified Picco .28
-OFNA 053 pipes.
-11.2 pounds
-single speed(for now ,waiting a last set of gears to install the 2 speed)
-I received my HPI Phaltline but waiting to install the 2 speed for more testing.

Heres some pics of the build:

Just displaying stuff on there to see how it would fit...

Very sweet, great project. Did you machine the chassis? Get a vid of that beast asap.

Over_revO -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/4/2008 8:09:37 PM)

i did the chassis with a belt saw and a small router. Sanded by hand.

I have post my 2 first test run in the video section if you want to see them. :)

Its still in progress though , a lot of place for improvement, i have most of the needed parts to complete the project the way i want it.
And the HPI Phlatine tires will also help top since the MTs are ballooning way too much throwing the truck way out of balance...

Thx for the comment !

Mike

billzkustomz -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/4/2008 9:43:51 PM)

what a waste of a picco .28 you cant even race that now

Over_revO -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/4/2008 10:15:35 PM)

Thank you for such a good comment......

I dont have a track near here, thats something i wanted to do, saying its a waste to use the picco is your vision. not mine.
Paying for a transponder, membership, parts, fuel, plugs etc.. just to turn in circle is not a waste?

Just a way to see what we like to do....
If i was to race i wouldnt not use a Picco .28...

I needed 2 strong motor that are not too expensives, i would not have made a twin engines truggy out of trx 2.5 .....

:)

Dude are you serious? What a waste of a post on RCU with a comment like that. FYI, .28s are not the racer's engine of choice anyways.

Anyways...

That truggy is SICK SICK SICK! Nice job. I am digging that truggy. I have a dual Axial 28 project too with some custom stuff but I didn't have to make a chassis. The wheels, tires, stance, everything is awesome. Get a plain jane body on their and you have the ultimate sleeper!

Over_revO -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/4/2008 11:51:54 PM)

Thx a lot guys :)

Dale: Thx for the comments and to put things straight about those kind of comments.
If you have pics of your twin setup feel free to post them here i would like to see it :)

Cheer

Mike

rchertz -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 12:23:13 AM)

well done,top marx.

Chopped02 -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 12:26:54 AM)

Pay no attention to comments like the one about it being a waste. That is some really nice work you did on that truggy. Not many people have the ability to make something like that from scratch. That is what this hobby is all about. Great job!! [:D]

Dale, yours is very cool too!!

ProRCRacer88 -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 1:25:53 AM)

Best truggy running I seen in a long time. Id love to have one but I know 2 engines are alot mor eof a hassel than 1 engine. And im not the best at tuning.

SOILWORK -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 1:46:36 AM)

That is sick. You did a really nice job on the build. The layout is nice and clean. Great job!!

madmax22 -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 2:35:02 AM)

wow that thing is sweet!. I saw a vid and a pic of a MT w/ 3 yes 3 race engines in it and it was almost stupid fast.

JB COMP -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 2:41:04 AM)

Over_revO, nice job. It looks sweet.

Thats like me trying to put a OS 70 4-stroke plane engine in my CRT, it was working till I melted the JB weld that held my flywheel together.[:D]

Over_revO -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 3:06:20 AM)

Haha yeah that engine on a CRT should have been impressive to see lol[:D]

JB COMP -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 3:15:38 AM)

Here's some pictures.

I've kind of put that project to the side now, but I'll finish it one day.

Over_revO -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 4:14:32 AM)

Hey thats nice!

The engine is huge on the CRT hehe

jessemxt -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 4:20:03 AM)

I am with everyone else. This truggy is not a waste in the least bit I am very impressed with it. Great job and thank you for sharing this impressive project.

danpifs -> RE: My Twin Picco .28 truggy... (5/5/2008 4:51:34 AM)

Very very nice work!!! The guy that posted that using thoses engines was a waste is a jealous zero! Keep up the good work and keep posting those pictures and videos.

Cheers!!
