Hi guys,

im new to this forum and thought i should share a project i did during last winter.

I built a twin engine truggy.

Spec:
-2 ABmods drag modified Picco .28
-OFNA 053 pipes.
-11.2 pounds
-single speed(for now ,waiting a last set of gears to install the 2 speed)
-I received my HPI Phaltline but waiting to install the 2 speed for more testing.

Heres some pics of the build:

Just displaying stuff on there to see how it would fit...

begun the MDF proto chassis

Setting up the linkage

Stock chassis versus 30mm longer new chassis

Chassis thickness vs stock one

chassis done, hand polished, didnt had access to polishing tools..

The assembly begin!

Polished shock towers and top plate

Final result as it is right now

A last update i did before my second test run, slightly narrowed chassis...

More updates coming soon

Mike

i did the chassis with a belt saw and a small router. Sanded by hand.

I have post my 2 first test run in the video section if you want to see them.

Its still in progress though , a lot of place for improvement, i have most of the needed parts to complete the project the way i want it.
And the HPI Phlatine tires will also help top since the MTs are ballooning way too much throwing the truck way out of balance...

Thx for the comment !

Mike

Thank you for such a good comment......

I dont have a track near here, thats something i wanted to do, saying its a waste to use the picco is your vision. not mine.
Paying for a transponder, membership, parts, fuel, plugs etc.. just to turn in circle is not a waste?

Just a way to see what we like to do....
If i was to race i wouldnt not use a Picco .28...

I needed 2 strong motor that are not too expensives, i would not have made a twin engines truggy out of trx 2.5 .....

Dude are you serious? What a waste of a post on RCU with a comment like that. FYI, .28s are not the racer's engine of choice anyways.

Anyways...

That truggy is SICK SICK SICK! Nice job. I am digging that truggy. I have a dual Axial 28 project too with some custom stuff but I didn't have to make a chassis. The wheels, tires, stance, everything is awesome. Get a plain jane body on their and you have the ultimate sleeper!
