i got flair fokker dr1 on the kit box engine size is 90 min 2 stroke or 91 1.20 4 stroke i have not decided if put 91 os fx or 1.20 gms or super tiger g 23 if i put 1.20 2 stroke i will be overpower? ( i won't use gas engine)

I had the Hannibal, which is Flairs other large aircraft, it was marketed as for a 2st 60, but no way would a 60 even pull it along the ground, let alone fly it. I put a 120 fs in mine and it was just right, though the newer 1.80 fs would be ideal.

I had a 180 Saito on mine, (1/4 scale) flew it great with power to spare. A 150 would probably do fine also.

the hannibal was 100 inch span aprox, the same scale as the DR1.
I would not put anything less then a powerfull 1.20 in it, and build it light.
The hannibal and DR1 both fly like trainers, really nice and enjoyable.

I actually own the flair hannibal-and I flew it today-flies well on a G-23 Zenoah-I sure wouldn't mine to buy another kit like this one, any ideas? Sorry if this is off topic

Flew one for a friend once. It had a Quadra 35 on it. Flew great.

no its not overpowered, mine weighs in at 17 lbs, (koverall and paint) flies about right with this power
