Is the Align RCE 550 gyro any good? can get it for £30 new
anyone used it? how much better is a gy401, is it really worth (atleast) twice as much? i will be flying fast 3D

the align gyro is good for sport flying and hovering, anything more than that your gonna be better off investing in a better gyro and tail servo

what sort of gyros are recommended for intense 3d flight? other than the 400/401 and logitech 2100t

Those two for the price are about the best bet. There are plenty others like the Futaba GY 240 that is a little lower in price. It's only disadvantage is you can't trim the gyro from the transmitter, yo have to make adjustments on the timmer pots on the gyro itself. Other than that, it's a good gyro too.

the align gyro sucks. get the 401 w/9650 servo. holds rock solid
