ORIGINAL: FlyNDutchman Do you have any pictures of the cowling air dams? Thanks for your help. Duane Duane, When I say air dams, I am talking about the area of the front of the cowling that is blocking the top and bottom of the front cowling opening. I am not using anything inside the cowling to direct the air. At the Toledo show this year, QQ had a few of his planes on display that had a foam material that was glued inside these flat areas of the cowlings and it just pressed up against the cylinder heads. The foam looked like the same type of foam as you would find in our TX cases. But not sure. So far, like I said, I have not found a need to baffle the air any more then the cowling comes stock.
