Has anyone Baffeled their 120"? Is it needed? Anyone have pictures of their install? I am using the DA 150 almost done with the plane it is still on the bench. Though I would check into this before putting into the air and will be using the greeves pipes. I did a search on several fourms and have not seen one on the QQ 120 any help would be greatly appreaciated. Duane

My headers are 9 3/4 in length and using a Mej. 32x10 prop. I have not found the need for any additional baffles other then the cowling air dams . The engine has run very strong from the start to finish of the flight even running a flight a full throttle for most of it to see if it would heat up. The vertical is very impressive also with no lagging on the long climbs. There is a thread on RCU and FG sites with pics that I have posted. I am presently on a wrong computer, or I would post a few pics. Sorry. Check out this thread http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6447271/tm.htm Page 4 and 6 have some engine setup pics. Also, It was suggested to me not to let the cowling overlap the top hatch. It will wear through the plastic of the hatch easily. I trimmed my cowling to be flush with the cowling bulk head, and it has worked out great. No problems. Hope this helps

Duane Duane, When I say air dams, I am talking about the area of the front of the cowling that is blocking the top and bottom of the front cowling opening. I am not using anything inside the cowling to direct the air. At the Toledo show this year, QQ had a few of his planes on display that had a foam material that was glued inside these flat areas of the cowlings and it just pressed up against the cylinder heads. The foam looked like the same type of foam as you would find in our TX cases. But not sure. So far, like I said, I have not found a need to baffle the air any more then the cowling comes stock.
