PBJT -> RE: can you get a fg marder to wheely? (5/5/2008 8:29:18 PM)

TIM MT and I both have marders and both will wheely constantly in dirt, annoyingly so. We both have FG tuned pipes and we both have sand paddles. The rest is stock with stock 26 Zen.

karl thomas -> RE: can you get a fg marder to wheely? (5/5/2008 8:45:37 PM)

will this make it wheely on grass? are they better than the standerd fg marder wheels?

PBJT -> RE: can you get a fg marder to wheely? (5/5/2008 9:08:54 PM)

My Marder would wheely with the stock tires too in dirt, but not consistantly.

No mate there rubbish. The tread wont last long but before you get to that stage youll
spin the squares out of them.

DAVE.

If you want some on road grip then look for a set of rims and tyres off an FG truck.

karl thomas -> RE: can you get a fg marder to wheely? (5/5/2008 9:48:33 PM)

okk

Team5hite -> RE: can you get a fg marder to wheely? (5/5/2008 9:48:54 PM)

or if you want great grip off road then look for "Hormann softs".
But they wont last long if you use them on road [)]

A well warmed-up engine with a good tune and a clutch that grips well can make a huge difference. I have the Marder style Monster Beetle and when I got it used it was BONE STOCK! (stock pipe, tires, gearing, totally stock.) It would wheelie from a standstill or at about 20mph with a blip of the throttle across a parking lot. (even flew straight up into the air after slamming into a concrete curb once!) Mine could be an unusual case, but as long as everything is running right I would think that (from what I've heard) the addition of a good tuned pipe will get the wheelies happening for you. The stock tires should get a good grip on some nice dry grass maybe heading up a slight incline. The softer the tires compound the better your chance for pulling wheelies.

the stock tyers i have just spin (they are a tad worn out lol) im saving up for some nice new tyers and a 27cc ported head kit hehe
