Clive Cussler...Especially the Dirk Pitt series.
I think I've read them all now. With a gift from Roko La Rare, I have started the W.E.B Griffin series.

Yes , Dirk Pitt! How could I forget him?

I often wonder if I Mr. Cussler was somewhere in the background during my younger, more active years. I mean he had to get the inspiration from somewhere didn't he? (Snort, spit, crotch grab.) You do see the likeness don't you Vic? (Vas ist das Roko?)

Sorry Raymond, I don't know yiddish.

Another must read is James Brady's two books "Flag of our Fathers" and "Flyboys". The latter being the best book other than the big one I have read.

Vic, don't you recognize Mexican when you read it?

Yes, I too read and enjoyed James Brady's books. Isn't it amazing that his father never said anything all those years?

Now that I think of it, I was disappointed by "The Greatest Generation". I forget the author but he's a biggie who(m) I thought could have done better - less condescending (In My Humble Opinion).

Was it in a fresh water creek in Virginia? I was too young then to remember all the details(!)

I think its the same incident. I think there were two "episodes". Anyway, shouldn't you be getting to bed? I myself am outa here to perhaps finish a Johnathon Kellerman novel. A real page turner.
