Does anyone have an opinion on ****...http://www.****/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp

I am looking to buy a few of the batteries at this site. Something called "zippy" and other no-name brands.
Looks like a great deal to me...I am spending $60 on Align batteries that just don't seem to last very long.

Any suggestions would be great be for I start spending $$$ on items where the shipping is too expense to ship back if I have a problem.

Thanks in advance.

i bought a bat charger from them once. I have no complaints. One thing you need to make sure is that you read the description fully. They don't include anything more than what's written. like t-connectors and wall outlets and etc.

aland25...A few guys at my local flying field have bought and are using the zippy batteries with great success. I bought two of the 3s 2100mAh myself. Waiting for them to arrive. Excellent price.

You can't go wrong with them. I am using their cheapest 2200 mah lipo and love them! The Zippeys are better still and they are all better than the Align puff packs.
The only problem is the shipping from Hong Kong is slow but they are opening a shop in the US soon and then look out!

Thanks for all the comments. I just purchased 2 of the Kong packs for $120...thats pretty expensive, but hopefully they will last a little while longer than the Align pack did.

I will check that site out again one I have money back in the bank account.

thanks guys

I bought a no-name lipo there and had lots of punch but suddently one of the cells died.... in total it gave me about 50 cycles.....

Now I bought a kong power at the beginning of february, after maybe 90cycles is starting to give up, it still gives me about 4 good mins of flight before loosing power, I thought kong power lasted more!!!!!! Did I just have bad luck??????

heat, cheap charger, and flying to long will decrease any lipo. [not that thats how your treating it] but theres allot stacked against them.

i would say most get double or triple that

Get a lipo monitor. They sell them for $2. I've gotten over 100 cycles out of their cheap batteries.

It loads faster for me than either Helidirect or Helihobby. Helihobby's site is badly organized but I like their service. Helidirect's site is just hugh with too much animation.

HeliHobby.com and HeliHobby.net are lightning fast for me but I am also in California along with the server. I will ask the admin about this thanks for bringing it up.

HS,
It's not the load speed it is the way their site is organized. You have to look through every thing for a particular heli to find what you need and the pages are too large.
Their service is great even to the midwest.

I know they are looking into reorganizing the site. Thanks for the words to the wise.

I've got a credit with Hobbycity but can't find out how to apply it to my next order. Do they even have an email customer service ? I can't find one. Also, can't find my credit listed on my account. Heli Direct really makes it easy to find and use an existing credit if you have one.
