ttski -> Ailerons on HET F-18 (5/6/2008 4:04:48 AM)

I recently purchased the HET F-18 single engine. I was thinking of adding ailerons during the build. Does anyone have any experience with this. Does the plane need it or is it just adding weight and time to build?

I have had two of these with tailerons only. They flew really well. I don't know anyone who has done ailerons on this bird.

Regards, Bill

i'm sorry to ask this, because i'm not sure this is the right way to go about it. i was reading an exstensive build thread on the het fa/18 a few years ago, and i can't seem to find it anywhere. it covered just about everything that someone could do to the plane. there was some pretty inovative things as i recall.
could anyone direct me to it if it still exists?
thank you all in advance.

You can also go to the warbirds-rc site. There are several articles about the F-18 build written by Carl Tulanko. Good stuff if you are going to own one of these.
