Ken6PPC -> RE: Saito FA-115 in Pulse XT 60 (5/7/2008 4:19:22 AM)

The only thing I would be concerned about is the distance from the firewall to the front of the cowl. I have a Pulse 40, and I put a Saito 82 on it. I had a tough time getting the engine close enough to allow the cowl to be mounted in the proper position. According to the Saito 2008 catalog, the distance from the rear of the carb to the front of the crankshaft threads is 116 mm. (That is only 12 mm more than the same dimension is for the 82, and exactly the same as for the Saito 91.) I don't know the distance from the front of the crankshaft to the front of the prop washer. That would have to be deducted from 116 mm to find out what the distance from the rear of the carb to the front of the prop washer would be. If you had that dimension, then you could download the manual for the 60 sized Pulse, and you would know if this engine would fit well. Or, you could just buy it and MAKE it fit! [:D] I think that would be a very nice combo!
