systemlord -> RE: TrueRC LiPo batteries. (5/6/2008 8:17:48 PM) Does the voltage readout on the 3PKS show the Li-po's correct voltage or are you using a voltage regulator? Thats a nice fit, I've been looking for something better for my 3PKS to.

The above battery was installed in a 3PKS totally different radio, it comes with a rechargable battery the same size as the one I replaced it with the Lipo.

systemlord -> RE: TrueRC LiPo batteries. (5/7/2008 5:34:26 AM) The 3PM has the same battery tray as the 3PKS, they both come with the same battery out of the box from the factory. When I bought my Hobbico HydriMax 9.6V 1650mAh NiMH Flat U Sanyo battery, if fit in both the 3PM & 3PKS and even the 4PKS. Futaba wouldn't waist time making three different batteries for three different battery compartments for such a simular radio design.

Not all batteries are of the same quality, that go's for any battery Li-po, NiMH, NiCD. I like the idea that you don't have to use any voltage regulator. My 9.6V battery freshly charged show up on my 3PKS as 11.6V.
