Status: offline 		Well, short story. I started with CX now almost a cx2 minus the 2.4g. Got a Blade CP, now a CP Pro (dual tail motors). Bought myself a Trex450SA back in July.

Anyway came down with Colon Cancer around Christmas and haven't had much time for heli's over the last 6 months. Halfway through Chemo all is well, chemo for CC isn't that bad anymore. No hair loss, a little tired for 2-3 days, blood counts down, stuff like that. Every 2 weeks for 6 months. So 6 of 12 treatments done. OK back to the heli, now that I have time, just don't want the hope you feel betters.

I totally butchered my CP for parts and decided midway to go the "good stuff" route.

Now my trex has:

430XL motor - OK a little underpowered I think, maybe be needing to change pinions.
35Amp Align ESC - OK
F S9650 Tail servo which works GREAT BTW.
HS-56HB Main Servos - A tad disappointed should have gone MG
Gy401 Which works great with S9650.
AR6100->DX7 Works great.

So I finally watched Finless videos WHILE putting her together, had to stop by lhs to find out everything I did was just plain wrong. Had ball links on wrong hole, the blades were going down when throttling up(wrong linkages on seesaw), the arms weren't at 90 on most, they shimmed up my back servo. Had I known how easy it was to remove one side of the metal frame I would have done it myself but I was going for ease.

Last night I spent about 2 hours adjusting my levels on the head. (just got the 9650 this morning) Adjusted the gyro/rudder/tail this morning.


WOW, that's all I can say, this flies like the CX as far as ease, just flip the throttle and straight up. I needed to make ZERO adjustments, OK maybe one touch on the right aileron trim. The heli flies with very little adjustments and can sit there for 2-3 seconds without touching the sticks, btw is you don't have heading hold, buy a chopper that's got it.

I can't believe the difference between the CP and the Trex. NIGHT AND DAY. This is fun, that was BS.

My key points:

1. Use "good stuff" don't cheap out on parts.
2. LEVEL and 90 is crucial.
3. Spend quality time with number 2. LOL
4. If you don't know, ask, we're all here to help.
5. Watch Finless videos if you need pictures/videos to put your bird together, and correctly .

Status: offline 		isnt that nice when you fire it up and its almost tuned perfect out of the gate my 500 went the same way.

on your motor [its a nice motor] but it is amp hungry a good lipo makes all the difference. use a 13t pinion

if you get a chance to fly some hs65,s youll love them.

Status: offline 		Have the same electronics setup except for the cyclic servos...HS65MG. Don't get the same flying experience though. It's all pilot and build errors. :P

Status: offline 		srout...when r you going to post your 9650 servo mounting setup? I crashed my trex and rebuilding. I already filed one of my ball links so the base is level. I need to see how you did yours. Thanks. Also..where did you get your canopy which covers part of the main rotor? Thanks again.

Blade CX, Blade CP, upgraded Blade CP for dual tail rotors, upgraded CP with direct drive tail, upgraded CP with brushless main motor and tail motor.....got TREX 450 SE v2.....completely disassembled the Blade CP! Now the parts are waiting to be put into my now HBK II. I also just got a nitro...Raptor 50 v2.

And yes, difference in Blade CP and Trex 450? NIGHT AND DAY.

I hate it when I see people recommend to newbies a tiny micro heli simply because they are cheaper! For some reaons, it doesn't seem to click with them that in the LONG run, they WILL end up spending MORE money than if they would have simply got the larger 450 size heli with quality electronics. But I do understand the sticker shock when they realize it will cost them around a grand with a decent radio...I was there at one point.

Status: offline 		It is amazing how we get around to rationalizing.. " a grand... that's not too bad for one of these, most guys spend more than that..." I started with the Blade CP, then the HeliMax CP, both have given their lives for my lessons. Now a HBKing 1 that is mostly useable most of the time when I'm done with it. Also a new sim, the Pheonix. Now the 450SA that I was sooo afraid of is mostly done and almost ready to go. It's had electricty in it and servos are level. Need to finish 1 more control rod. Also now have a Raptor 30 v1 that was a basket case gift. waiting on the new tail boom -Whole thing was wacked- and that may be ready to go soon. Still hovering tail in, mostly controlling my position....Thank you Radd's School and Finless! Doc
