I have the ProBoat PT. I bought it on ebay from a dealer since these models are not available until later this year. The model is 40" and I was able to run it over the
Holiday weekend. In Action the boat looks exactly like the video at their website. I took some video of the model but need a little time to edit the footage. I'm
very satisfied with the model and have the Lindberg and Imex models unbuilt. I also have the 33" Dumas model unbuilt. The Proboat Model comes in a flat paint
scheme and looks great. I want to run it at dusk so I can see the lights and strobe which also come with the model. However, There is one drawback with the model.
I used two 3800 mA NIMH and only got about 10 minutes of run time. I was going flat out most of the time with the 550 twin motors. It moves along at scale speed or better. "Fun to Watch". I made one major mistake with this model by not using locktight on the props. After reloading fresh batteries on a 3rd run I lost both props.
The model had enough speed so I was able to get it back to shore(Barely). I'm going to CA the threads on the props next time. If you don't have the time to build a nice
model and you like PT boats then "go for it" after they become available sometime in late August.

HI rowdyI,
I have the Pro Boat PT-109 and I have not had any problems with this boat. The imex PT, to me, seems to be the same boat.
It may not offer the flashing light and bow and green and red lights like the Pro Boat, but they can be added.
You might want the Imex PT because of the cost compared to Pro Boat or Maybe you can find one on e-bay for less.
I just got some brass props for mine and a flag to place on the fantail just to dress mine up.
www.loyalhannadockyard.com has a lot of props and dress for boat builders, if you get a boat and want to add to her.
