Take the stone out, install and tune. That's all I remember doing.

Yes, to the tank. I had to lean my truck out on the HSN and I think I had to make the LSN richer, but my LSN wasn't really tuned right before I put the OFNA valve on.

I didn't, but I don't see any harm starting over.

the reason i asked about retuneing was my gst was blowing glow plugs alot and was shutting down on me so i got the venom computer/temp system and installed it and i seen the engine was running up to 300 degrees thats bad right? i also picked up a duratrax infered hand held temp senser so i dont have to take the body off the truck so see how hot its running. maybe i would set back to factory defaults and make little adjuments to the high speed screw. i basicaly want the truck to runn good and fast but not where its blowing glow plugs or over heating. any ideas?

Im running 30% nitro on mine and i have a mip temp guage on the truck which normally reads 220-255 degrees

what i would have to say about the gst is tuning the engine to run with the ofna check valve fitted is alot different than without
my truck used to stop running at half a tank and now it doesn`t leave any fuel in the tank before it stops

You should set the carb back to factory settings and slowly tune the high speed needle
I have mine set to 3 and a quarter turns out from fully closed
and the low speed needle is 1 turn out from flush

as for the over heating its either running too lean or you`ve got an air leak in the fuel line
i had an air leak in mine and had real bother tunning the engine, so in the end i changed all the fuel lines and its been running sweet ever since

hope you get it sorted out soon

ok cool thank you. i will tuen from factory settings. i changed the exhust on my gst its actually the part that comes out of the engine and into the muffler. maybe you can help me when i put the ring around the engine and then put the exhust on it, it doesn't really look snug any way to to find out if there is a leak there? this change was done about a year ago maybe i should just check and retune with the ofna valve and see if everything is ok.

Thinking I should prolly do a write up on installing the Valve and the proper tuning procedure to help eliminate confusion!!

that pump was the best idea dude it left nothing in the tank. i tried it today after the New York rain stopped. it started right up after a couple of turns from the roto start. it did lose power and stall should i adj any needles. i didn't put back to factory settings i wanted to see how it ran the way i tuned it. my once it got to half a tank the stalling and loseing power stopped. my venom temp said after my run was 230 235 degrees and i wasn't hard on the throttle either i was just going slow and mostly but did a couple of half throttle for a couple of mins never did it at full throttle no room on my street. is that a good temp for just going slow and not putting alot of power in it? also i see that my right rear wheel is not lined up it looks crooked i will take a couple of pics and post them does any one else have that problem? could i have bent something on the wheel? or thats how they are sopposed to be? but i gotta love my gst when shes running and that idea of the check valve was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks
also just found something else that maybe a problem. when you spin any of the wheels the opposit wheel moves the other direction. my rear wheels when i move them both that the same time the same direction there is a griding sound might be comming from inside the transmission. when i push the front wheels in the same direction there is no griding sound they both move smoothly. the gears on the engine and gear mesh move smooth as per my other post. what could it be if the rear wheels are only grinding?

Hey Chris, Glad to hear the valve is working out well for you!!! By reading what you posted I would say you still need to leanit out just a bit more on the high side. The pictures show your wheels could use a little camber adjustment by turning the threade rod inside the top arm to make it longer(Its called a turnbuckle) and stand the tires up
