Status: offline 		I have an aeroworks 75cc Extra 260 and plan on using 1 1100 on Ign. and 2 2300 on RX.

I am also using HD MPI switches(3).

The MPI switch is a failsafe switch the will pull a small amount of current even when the switch is off.

My question is how long can the plane sit with the switch turned off before the battery voltage is pulled down so far that they are destroyed?

I have thought about using Deans connectors on the batteries so that I can physically unhook the batteries from the switch during the week when I don't fly. I fly every weekend weather permiting.

Status: offline 		The A123's do not die if fully depleted. It probably isn't a good idea to kill them, but I've done that to mine accidentally a couple times, and the FMA CellPro just goes through it's "restore" charge, and life is good.

To calculate the depletion time - look up the MPI "off" current draw specs. Should be in "milliamps". Multiply the milliamps times the number of hours, result will be "milliamp/hours". Fully charged A123 2300's are pretty close to 2200 + milliamps.... so... if your switches draw 10 milliamps, that would be 240 milliamps per 24 hour day, so about 9 days' laying there would kill 'em dead.
