I am on my 4th tail moter. I kept the bad ones and found that just the shaft pops out of the houseing. I forced them back in with a screwdriver and they work like new. I think I found out why they pop out. I have super skids and the tail support on mine was about one inch or more from touching the ground and when i come down a little too hard the boom must be flexing hard and smacks the floor and the shaft on the moter always pops out. I made the tail support about 1 1/4 longer to see if that is what is causing this. Any one else haveing there shafts pop out of the moter caseing.

I did this to my tail motor....worked great. I cut the metal disc out of the
lid of a dog food can. Holds the bearing in place.

I cant wate till the CP PRo 2 parts come out I am going to try that DD tail set up from it, dont know when they will be at the LHS havent heard anything about when they will be on the market for sale.

Yeah.... when parts become available for the Pro 2 I will be converting
mine also.

Meanwhile the dog food lid mod has been working great. I have not
replaced a tail motor in over 6 month.

Carl - I don't fly the CPP but do use the CPP tail motors in my heli. I am on my second one the the first on only lasted 16 packs. I think I may have this problem. Could you please post a couple of pics showing where exactly where the shaft pops out? I kept that first motor and would like to see if that is the problem. It went out after a friend of mine (who I let fly my heli) hit a brick wall at full speed.

Thanks I appreciate it.

The shaft pops out on the gear end. I have 4 of them and I found I can press the shaft back in with a small screw driver but I think once it pops out it dont take much of a bump and its out again. I tried a little JB weld and super glue and it dident hold so I did the tin lid mod and will try it tonight in a local gym i (try) to fly in and see if it solves my problem. Another thing I think that might have been the problem was with super skids the tail was about an inch off the ground so I added a little piece of carbin fiber rod to my tail stick to make it longer and rest on the ground so it doesent slam down when I land too hard.
