The exceed 1/8th buggy is great but if you never had nitro cars before then I recommend the 1/10 scale to begin with. It' cheap and parts are not expensive to replace.

They are on a different scale/class. But for beginner I always recommend 1/10. Just a suggestion.

I would go with a 1/8. I have heard that too.

Here's 2 videos. 1 of the 1/10 buggy, 1 of the 1/8 buggy

If you want better bang for your buck a 1/8th vehicle is the way to go, they are much more durable and take a beating, they don't go any faster than the 1/10th scale but do have more power and weight so if you hit someone or say someones car, it will do much more damage. But if you REALY REALY want to get the best bang for your buck and spend the least amount of money in the long run, then the 1/8th scale is the way to go. We sell very few parts for the 1/8th scale Redcat/Himoto/Exceed 1/8th scales and I have just about one of every one of the 1/8th scale Redcats(same exact vehicle except Redcat and Himoto Have SH 28 engines) also have two HPI savages and I can say from experiance that 1/8th is the prefered way.
