Hi guys !

First of all i am not a newbie ! I am more than that !!! The only heli i ve flown is a picooz.

I have decided to buy T-Rex 450 V2/Silver or Black with a 430XL 3700KV motor and RCE-BL35X esc.

My setup will be as following

1. JR X9303 2,4Ghz module http://www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=6973
2. 3X Hitec HS-65mg
3. Futaba GY401
4. S9650 Tail servo
5. I am between AR6100 or AR7000

So what i want to ask is if you see any incompatibilities in the above setup.

The servos i will totally been needing are 4 or 5 ? (Because gyro often comes with servo)

Heli will be flown at a scale manner with a scale fuselage (sooner or later). Does anybody knows if i can find any tx setup so as to fly smooth (scale) and not so abruptly ?

I am aware that i should also get
Pitch gauge
swashplate leveler
Blade balancer

Is there any more to add to this ?

Thank you for reading/helping me and waiting for your replies !

You got it right.

3 x HS65MG
1 x 9650
1 x GY401 gyro
SWEEET choice in radio! Yeah AR6100 is fine. I would sell off any servos you get in the JR kit though.

You will need a nice lipo or 10 and a charger. I suggest the Lightning Power 2200 25C "anti-puff" lipos because they are which I fly exclusively. hmm Lightning Power should sponsor me.

Your best bet is a package deal from a great supplier like us! You should call HeliHobby if you choose to inquire on pricing.

Very good choice.

I also have 2 T-Rex 450 SE V2 and one of them has the HeliArtist Bell 222 Blue Airwolf fuselage that I made into a Helimedic shopper.

Both fly very differently because of the weight. On the 222 I need a 25c LiPo minimum for Hover but foward flight its ok wth the 15C TP 2100 LiPo.

The T-Rex in the 222 fuselage is extreamly stable but I have to watch my transition from foward flight to Hover do to the loss of lift and the combine weight.

here is a link to some pictures and video of it.

I use the DX7 radio

Thanks for your fast responses

I was wondering if my 1800mAh LiPo 20C Zippy would do for the rex.

I have a charger and a balancer so don't bother mention any.

Smith : I got only the tx and the module, saved my money from useless servos

Paul : Already on of your pics just went on wallpaper ! Great scale heli. I wish mine would look that good one day. (Haven't yet bought it ) LOL

It will sooner then you think, I use to say that too and next thing you know I have the scale heli
I prefer flying it like that then flying my straight T-Rex without the scale fuse.

1800 mah 20C is a bit on the low side for a Trex 450. Will shorten the life of the battery. Some do fly that but for me I stick with the Evo-Lites or the anti puff stuff.

I love my Kong's. 2200mah 25c.

The first Hover I did with the Align batt it puffed so its a gonner now.
If I only Hover I use my TP extream 2200 25C LiPo
When flying scale in foward flight I have now issue with the TP 2100 15c but no Hover and I keep the flight at 6 min compared to 10 with the extream.

I'm slowly going to replace my 15c's with the extreams 25C
