I'll have to look for a picture, but I once put a Saito 100 in a 40 size GP extra!!
The engine stuck out the side of the cowl like a big muscle.
Outstanding flyer, but control surfaces were a little small.

What the hell? A 1.25 in a 40 sized plane?
That one may win it all there.
How does it fly?
Was there any balance issues?
I have a 1.25 in a 60 sized bipe and it flies the wings off of it, and that's a 10 lb airplane.

About eighteen years ago I built this 20 size House of Balsa P-51D Mustang with a Super Tigre 45 ABC engine. I fully sheeted the wing for extra strength. The 4-bladed prop and spinner were for display only. The tailwheel was full swiveling but it still taxied well.

I can only speculate as to what the top speed was, but I don't think 120+ MPH would be stretching the truth at all!

Mike

HOB P-51D Mustang 20 Specifications:
Wing span 43 in.
Wing area 334 sq. in.
Wt. with radio 2.5 to 3 lbs.
4 channel radio reqd.
Engine .19 to .21
