Is the speedbrake a molded piece or is it simply cut out of the belly and reinforced?

Thanks,
Billy

The Firebird is not a short field plane, but as long as you have enough runway, it is not difficult to land.

Sounds good, so what is enough runway?

Thanks,

Billy, it is cut out and reinforced. Here's a pic.

I am building an A10. Would love a PM from you some time on your landing technique.

Thanks, K.

I fly off 8000 feet.

I would feel comfortable at 750 feet with a minimal headwind, but I'm just an average pilot. I fly with a Titan in mine, so my residual thrust is modest.

I'll try and have a buddy shoot some video next time I'm out.

Yes ... gen 4. Just started working on the wings ... have all the control surfaces in. Main wheels and doors are next.

As I recall, Vic's camo FB was using an AMT NL Pegasus........

2 fastest FB's I have personally seen are the Tommy Wood's bird that is now owned by Ali, Oly NL powered......and Tom Cook's personal FB with an air-start AMT Olympus NL.....IMO, if you get one of these, only way to go is to run at least a P-180, or preferably an Oly NL or P-200.......otherwise, you might end up with a bird that might get skunked by an ARF Bandit with a P-120......

I have the manual.........a few building sections are a bit tedious, with a fair amount of puttying, and no painted-in-the-mold option for those of us who don't paint much, but overall, a typical TC excellent kit with superb instructions.....

You can build this thing during supper? Wow, that Vic must be really good. Imagine the detail if you worked on it during lunch too

Regarding the vid that was posted. I often hear complaints about how a particular video would be better without the music.
In this case, however, the exact opposite is true...the video is destroying a perfectly good soundtrack
