Yep... way rich.

Lean the LSN half a turn and try again. Leave the glow starter on the first 20-30 seconds.

The high speed needle has nothing to do with you idle mixture.

I was having this same problem and it took about 3 full turns to get it running. They say it should be no more than 1 turn but that was definately not the case with the Savage I bought.

Not true, that is why you always set the high speed needle first. I have seen the low speed needle so rich that you just cannot make them run, they just flood and hydro lock. BB

And part two.... maybe even better..

Did you get it running? It sounds like it's idling way to slow, I'd turn the idle screw in (clockwise) a 1/2 turn or more if needed. Then tune once the engine continually runs. It should still Idle, only if your needles are way out of whack it will not idle.

High speed needle has everything to do with the idle circuit. As you mess with the high speed you need to readjust the low speed also.

Hmmm? no smoke at all? At any rate he needs to keep it running to make the HSN and LSN adjustments, and to me it looks like he's to lean on maybe both needles, but it is idling very low. Might be best to return back to factory settings, and work from there. Though my first adjustment would be to elevate that idle, then richen it up abit. , but again I can be wrong

Hi

Mine did the same thing out of the box, but I was reading on a board (maybe this one? O.o ) to turn HSN and LSN ½ turn (clock) and try again (then a ¼ more if needed). Big turn did help, it was still running like crap, smoked like a choo choo, but it was running on it's own (igniter removed after about 10 seconds). If I see it right, you have a puddle of orange goo collecting under the truck, mine did the same for the "1st tank running on idle break in". Look rich like crazy but no smoke (lots of goo collecting fast under the truck), that could be the camera.

This truck was nothing but PITA till 5-6 tanks, sometimes I was ready to kick it and see how far it would fly (got frustrated way too many times). But then it changed and now I love it. It's my first nitro and I didn't know that RTR doesn't mean unpack, fuel, start, WOT

What I'm trying to say is... don't give up! 5-6 tanks and you'll have this stupid grin on your face while racing real cars down the street.... I mean rolling on grass, sand, rocks and jumps and yeah all that. Stupid grin on any surface.

p.s. be nice to it while breaking it in, then WOT much as you can! You'll have to change the settings after break in, but it's not too bad. Install the engine protector, I did mine after too many flips...

I'm a new member, so hi all
