Status: offline 		I have a Align 500 coming and have just started hearing about fire, grounding issues. I have a 600 with no problems at all. Can we hear more about the 500 issues, is this the CF model, is this with CF booms, is this with Metal tail assemblys?

Status: offline 		This is the 500 On Fire that you have likely heard about. Some 500 owners, including myself, have had issues with static discharge and had their helis crash hard due to it resetting their receivers. To combat this may people, like me, grounded both their tail booms & bearing along with the motor mounting plate to the negative on the ESC. If you look at the pics from the post above, this is what kegerator did.

The mods that kegerator did, is what some guys were doing months ago to combat the ESD problem. I rigged my 500 up like this back in January and have not had a single issue since. The common fix now is to simply lube your belt with silicone and ground your tail bearings to the boom and the boom to the fram of the heli. This method does not pose the fire risk that the prior fix did.

I have one I just built and want to make sure that there is not something extra I need to do in the build process.
