Status: offline 		hello everyone. I have a quickie on my p47 retracts system. I first tried the hitec 75's and they were no good. I decided to go with the recommended JR 791's and they seem to be working great. Sitting nice and flush while retracted and locked in the down position. My concern is this. I did not use the recommended arms by hanger9. Instead I used some Dubro super strength arms. Is this cause for concern in anyway?

Status: online 		Hey Pete,,, just now finishing mine up. Mine came built with a few odds and ends to complete. It has the JR servos. From what I've read in here aluminum arms are the ONLY way . Plastic won't take the abuse.
Just kinda worried about the struts. sure seem small for the big Jug.

Status: offline 		I just meant as far as being mechanically correct ( linkages etc.) I have actually read that heavy duty plastic arms are ok for the job. How long are the arms you used? What was the travel degree that you used.

Asuning straight up (perpendicular to the length axis of the servo) is 12 ocklock my travel was from about 2 ocklock to 7 ocklock (I hope I'm spelling ocklock right it seems that is the configuration with the best lock and minimum servo strain. Anyway just curious to see what you did.

Status: offline 		The only way to go is with aluminum horns .75 inch. The plastic ones will bent and do not lock the gear anymore later on. I upgraded to Shindin machine struts click here they will be here any day....
