I just picked up a 85" QQ Yak (guess it is a version 1). It had a 3W mounted on it before, but now will have a DA-50 installed. I have the paper template for a DA-50 which shows the distance between the mounting holes, but I'm unsure if it gets centered on the firewall for drilling. The 3W that was on it before did not have it's holes drilled centered on the firewall. I see from the manual that wood templates came with the model to show proper engine placement. Of course those didn't come with the plane. I also noticed from the pictures in the manual that the engine mount holes didn't look centered.
So the question is, does the engine get centered on the firewall, if not does anyone have the measurements for exactly where the 4 holes are drilled in relation to the edges of the firewall. Any help would be appreciated.
