Nitro_Dean -> nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 10:40:50 PM)

Hey all just bought a nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger and was wondering if anyone knows which fuel i should use. I no its nitro but there are many different mixtures

Thanks In advance

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 10:54:40 PM)

Something with an oil content no greater than 12% and nitro content of between 10 and 25%.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 10:56:07 PM)

Thank You

Is this car any good?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:08:20 PM)

That's really a question you should have asked before you bought it don't you think lol?

They're a good all-round car suited to car park bashing, but you'd struggle to win any races with it. Spare parts are also cheap and easy enough to find.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:10:15 PM)

ah i aint worried. I can easily use it in a car park :)

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:13:35 PM)

That's what i mainly use mine for as well. Not to say they don't handle at all, with a few minor adjustments they'll corner just fine - but it's really an aging platform.

This is mine...

now that. is the sex! Loving it. I hear that theres quite a few hop ups that you can buy for them too

1/10 Scale?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:18:35 PM)

Thanks! You're right, there are loads of option parts availible for it - Fastrax produce a line of aluminium and carbon fiber parts, and Sabattini (official Thunder Tiger option parts) sell others, although they're somewhat harder to find.

[edit] Yup, 1/10 scale, 200mm wide.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:20:22 PM)

Any ideas on which shell would look good on it?

I would like a mini cooper shell which is 1/10 scale. So would that fit?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/9/2008 11:26:03 PM)

Depends what you like really, personally I like the look of the Sagaris - that'll be my next shell.

A 1/10 scale Mini Cooper should fit perfectly as long as it's 200mm wide (electrics are 190)

It really depends on what mini cooper body you're referring to. You need to make sure it is the right width for your car and that the wheelbase is correct. Mini coopers are really short wheelbase cars so it's unlikely you're going to find one that will fit a standard touring car while still looking right.

Can anyone give me a link to fuel that i can order online in the UK. eg:

http://www.modelsport.co.uk/?CallFunction=Category&CategoryID=991020

any on here?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:22:38 PM)

Why not just order from modelsport? That's where i get all my fuel from...

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:40:13 PM)

yeah but there is still like 20 different types of fuel.

Send me the link to the one you use?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:43:21 PM)

They've recently stopped selling O'Donnells which is what i'm running at the moment.

Out of what's available i'd go with Byrons Race Gen 2 - i've only heard good things about it.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:44:51 PM)

my mate is running 'Big Bang 20'? dont have a clue what he is on about. If i used that would it screw up my car?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:50:13 PM)

Click the link to modelsport you posted - Bigbang 20 is a Model Technics fuel with 20% nitro. It certainly wouldn't ruin your engine (fuel is fuel after all) but in my opinion there are better fuels out there.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/12/2008 11:52:29 PM)

its just ive read on other forums that different fuel can screw up different things and melt them together.

But anyway...

Nitro fuel. doesnt matter. just some give better performance than others.

As long as it's nitro fuel there is absolutely no chance of that happening. Maybe they were referring to petrol or diesel...

You've got it - but whatever you pick try and stick to it, switching reguarly between fuels can be a tuning nightmare.

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/13/2008 8:21:01 PM)

Doesn't look bad, could probably do with a clean and check over though. Screws tight, belts ok etc...

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/13/2008 8:22:36 PM)

if the belt happened to snap, would i loose all drive?

snowbl!nd -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/13/2008 8:30:24 PM)

No, it'd just become two wheel-drive. Front or rear depending on which of the three belts went.

Nitro_Dean -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/13/2008 9:21:09 PM)

lol i just got my jato shell!

adam-69 -> RE: nitro car peugeot 206 thunder tiger (5/13/2008 9:35:29 PM)
