Go tech engines are great. Axial engines are weak. They have great torque down low but total dogs on top. More of a basher engine. I would say for under 200 the best engine would be a LRp Z28/ SH 6 port. for just over 200 the picco p3/ Jammin 28.

I think the 100+billion threads about the Spec3 didn't find their way to the search...LOL.....Just poking fun....

If I had a 200-300 budget....I would just save a tad bit more and get a Nova....
LRP's...Piccos....etc...all have stupid failure points....When looking at cheap engines like that, you're playing russian roulet with either a leaky carb...leaky front bearing...braking crankshafts....or broke conrod.....My Nova 528 has been the most hassle free, powerful, best running MT engine I have ran to this day...The RB TM928 was the best racing engine I have ever ran to this day(takes learning to tune)....but the Nova was absolutely hassle free and worked great for race or bash...tuned great...lastest 13+ gallons...sweet carb...good bearings...and mucho power

the way I see it, you will probably spend as much money as a Nova by trying to squeeze more life out of your cheaper mills....

I'm sure you can find some cheaper...but $419 isn't bad...just a $100 bones more....I can make that in mowing grass within a Saturday....

I guess I should ask if this motor is for bashing or racing and what your experience is....of course....regardless what you say...my heart would still go to the Nova

I got an axial .32 in my muggy and it works great, they are cheap and cheerful! I have no idea if it will last but its fast when tuned and cheap for $145.

How about a Sportwerks .26. Very strong motor and you can ebay them all the time for less than 150 and that would include clutch shoes.
