yakfish -> metal cone inside exhaust? (5/10/2008 2:28:32 AM)

I was just wondering what the purpose was of the metal cone inside the exhaust? I just took mine apart and saw it in there and don't know what it is. I thought maybe I could free up a bit of restricted power if I left it out. what do you experts think?
Thanks

UMM well what truck is it on? Need more info. HPI savage has one to make the exhaust quieter which is what most do it for. If you take it out it will be louder but have slightly more power.

its bad to say experts. if it a cone inside your exhaust its the reflection cone, and its kind of important to the operation of your pipe. and taking it out will not only make your truck louder, but probably slower.
