Won a Gentle Lady on the EBA^ today. FINALLY and only paid 60 including shipping so it was reasonable. looking forward to a little kit bashing. I want to narrow the fuse to just fit my gear and put spoilers in the wing and change the foil to be the same as in the Alegro -lite. I may even add a polyhedral joint so the center can be flat. should be fun and cheap.

Do a build report on it, especially the airfoil changes.

The Gentle Lady is a good plane and a real floater. The light weight does make it a bit hard to handle in higher wind speeds. I can see making the fuselage narrower and changing the airfoil for better penetration when the winds are up. Adding spoilers will help you in a couple of ways. First the extra weight added by such a mod will help increase the wing loading a bit and the spoilers will give you more control of the glide path.

I just finished up building a GL for my girlfriend to learn to fly with. Since she's never flown before I opted to keep it totally stock to keep it simple for her. Had I been building it for myself, I'd have added spoilers and used the removable tip option.
