Just bought my Belt CP from ka-planes.com with a blade holder and larger training gear. I'm ascared hehe. I hope I don't crash it on the first flight.

Ever flown before? I bought belt cp as my first heli. Didn't take long to crash. Then bought falcon 40 fixrd pitch, alot harder to fly, but flying belt cp, alot easier now, crashed iut again though. All part of learning. Live and learn. Have fun with it, I sure am!![:D]

yup i'm flying a HBFP and still scared and very cautious to keep from crashing lol. I've been hovering outside for about 1 minute at a time. Also just bringing it up to hover and try to keep the tail boom pointed at me. I'm using training gear so the moment I don't feel comfortable, I land it quick and go back up again. This new CP is going to certainly to be the last heli I try to fly after I spend all the batteries on the field with my FP heli. Hope to treat it like a lil' baby till I feel more comfortable with my HBFP. Most probably, It will be the heli that I very safely bring into the air, and assemble, dissasemble and maybe upgrade parts to get a feel of how to play with something other than a FP heli. Dunno, but for the cost, I might just be afraid to even look at it lol.

I couldn't believe how much easier it was flying the belt compared to the twitchy FP. Same with me, training gear has been on for a while, and will be on for a long time still[X(]. I'm not so cautious with the FP like the belt, my falcon 40 can take quite a beating, but the belt just chews through the parts when I crash[:(]

I find my HBFP much easier to fly then my Belt CP, go figure, anyways Husko, fly your HBFP more, buy lots of spare parts for it and get over the "OMG I'm gonna crash feeling", the feeling where you completely freeze up, that is the hardest thing about flying the Belt CP, usually you're worried about crashing, take that feeling away and you'll feel alot better and fing flying just got a crap load easier. [:D]

if you don't mind waiting you can always buy the parts or find equivelents (most of which are in the US), thats why you plan ahead and buy LOTS of spares [:D]

Ah, see, my problem is that I just got my HBFP last month, and there were already no spare parts available! Admittedly, I haven't been trying to find out what equivalents will work. Specifically ring-like pushrods and rotor heads. What other heli parts will fit? Compy? Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread... Jason

Husko, a collectice pitch heli is much easier to fly than the fixed pitch. I have so much fun going to a HBK2 from a FP Colco Tbird. HBK2 is so much stable. And less twitchy. Easier to maintain. I spent a fortune changing tail motors on a FP. Go out and have fun !

I'm not so cautious with the FP like the belt, my falcon 40 can take quite a beating, but the belt just chews through the parts when I crash[:(] LOL happens to me alot too, I'm new here... just hoping to get some good tips and ideas and i know I'll find loads of them here [:D] the point is to try to keep the heli in flight. it's very fragile but it makes performance better LOL i only flew my E-sky belt-cp 4 times and crashed it 3 times XD i didn't have trainers on on the first two flights and the most recent crash was due to some kid running up too close... i used aileron hard right... too bad. i was using t-rex high-performance blades now i just have the normal stock blades

dietrich747, I learned to be patient when I am flying. I only tried new manuevers after I am confident on my current ones. Also I made small incremental changes in my flight patterns when I tried something new. Now my goal is make thru' a weekend of flying without crashing. From experience, every time I crashed, I cannot flied for a few weeks. Waiting for spares. And spending money on spares. I am the only one flying in my neighbourhood and I have never used a simulator. Now I am doing circles, pirouttes and flybyes. Still cannot do, nose in hover.

same here... i too am the only one flying a rc heli in my neighborhood and i only had my e-sky for a few months. still using a simulator... oh and my new tail rotor main shaft just came in the mail yesterday. and i have to take the gap out between the two blades, i got a bruise from the last time i did some blade tracking ( i wasn't paying much attention to the blades XD i had to pick something up then my arm went too close. the it was about to stop it was still strong enough to give a bruise haha ) the bad thing is, every time i need to buy a new part i have to get it ordered. there arent any nearby shops still got trainers on the belt, have a simulator, i just need large space
