Status: offline 		I am looking at possibly buying the Edge 540 .40-.61 plane from AW. I was wondering if a 100 saito 4-stroke would work in it or not. And was also wondering if a smoke system would work in it. And are digital servos nessesary? Need Advice Thanks!

Status: offline 		We have several customers using the Saito 100 4stk. one the edge 540 and say it is the perfect combination.

I have flown the model with this engine combo and it is AWSOME power to weight with plenty of wing area to handle the weight of the 4stk engine

I would not recommend a smoke system on such a small airframe the additional weight would inhibit the performance of the model. If you prefer to use smoke try to make it removable so when you are not using it can be easily removed.

Digital servos are not necessary to fly the model but are highly recommended. With the larger control surfaces and powerful engine combination digital servos will highly reduce the possibility of flutter. “Flutter will destroy a plane in seconds”
