Hey Guys,
I bought a used Sceadu Evo 50 for my first nitro heli and got it today. I've got everything put back together and am ready to start setting up my radio. I've been in RC for 16 years and could probably fumble through a rough setup, but I'm wondering if there may be a video online or something to help get me started. I need to set my servo throws, set up throttle and pitch curves (the heli came with a Multi-Gov governor), and set up the gy401 gyro. I have a brand new JR9303 2.4ghz radio I am using in it. I am relatively new to the area I am living in, but am going to stop by the local hobby shop tomorrow to see if they know anybody that may be willing to take the time to help me set everything up right. Any suggestions on how to get started would be greatly appreciated. It is kind of intimidating to try and figure out how to attack everything. I am very good at setting up a plane for precision aerobatics, etc, but helis are a different story for me! Thanks in advance for any help!! By the way, anybody around Frederick MD that flies helis by any chance?????

Todd

You may want to purchase Ray's Authoritative Helicopter Manual and look for a forum that deals with your particular heli. Be sure to get your mechanical settings right though. At 50% stick position, you should attempt to get a 90 deg. angle at the throttle servo and engine carb arm. Finding the 50% throttle position of the engine was most difficult for me, but it was well worth the time to locate.

fortunately, all of my linkages and servos were all alread installed from the previous owner who was an experienced 3D pilot, so that much is already taken care of. I actually did get a pitch curve and throttle curve set up last night that I think should be close. How do I know how much cyclic to give it?? How about tail rotor?

Thanks,
Todd
