I think Soloboss was experimenting with that if that narrows Your search some.

Dacaur’s Guide

Its under the "mods word doc". Then go all the way to the bottom.
Good luck and let us know how it works out

I did make a set but I was never really happy with them. If I left the screws loose enough to allow the blades to pivot, the tracking was awful. When I tightened the pivot enough to get the tracking, I lost the advantage of pivoting blades. I never did try my modified "grip" with Xtreme blades. That might have worked. At worst it's a fun way to spend an afternoon and burn through a bucket of busted blades.
The Esky Lama uses a simple and light-weight plastic grip and they work well. So the concept is valid. I just never got it to work satisfactorily.

Soloboss

I know this is off the subject but I have a problem with my newer CX2. I've been flying for a year and thought I knew everything there was to know about a CX2, but I'm stumped. A couple weeks ago I wanted to do a comparison between my modified CX2 and a stock one to see if my modified one with the Max 180 motors was drawing more current than the stock out of the box version. So I anchored each to the bench and did tests of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full throttle and measured the amps drawn. The modified one with the Xtreme 180 motors drew about 10% more current than the stock. Thought that explained my shorter flight times.

OK the next time I went to fly the stock machine it wouldn't even lift off with full throttle! Checked with another fully charged battery. If I watch the 3 in 1 led it turns red just above half throttle. Is that normal?Do you think I burned out the controller by running it at high speed on the bench therefore overheating it. I tried changing the motors to a stock set that I know is good and it made no difference. I'm sure I have no friction or vibrations and the tracking is good.

You've always been a help to me. I'd like to get back in the air!
