Status: online 		Just got back from the hooby shop about 2 hours ago. I went today and talked to the guys about whats best for bashing but, might go to the gleenwood rc track to race and practice once a month and they said go with the stampede xl-5 and they showed me the rc10t4 and they got the Losi Desert Truck on pre-order, which one, but they said its not as durable and its lighter for racing but i like both and dont know which one to choose. Anyway its between these two no others so its up to you guys to vote and give me some info and pics please. Thanks derek

Status: online 		I wouldn't say better. I had a xxx-nt which is just like a firestorm and I thought it was pretty cool, but once I got my Losi XXX Buggy I had soo much fun with it and it only went 18MPH. You say it's better then charging a battery, well it will take you longer to get everything set up and to start it then if a battery was charged halfway and you charged it @ 4 amps. I used to like nitro, now I am sticking with all electric.

Status: online 		i know but i had a mini electric and it got boring, and the battery always died and once i got my nitro even know its a pain i like it but its a redcat and the hpi firestorm would be way better then the redcat

Status: online 		your nitro will only run as long as the onboard battery to run the servo's lasts

going nitro doesn't mean no more charging, or that you can run forever without worrying about batteries

yeah, a dead battery on an electric just means it stops, a dead battery on a nitro can mean an uncontrolled full throttle runaway if proper precautions aren't taken

Status: offline 		Go Lipo on the RX battery and you won't have that issue with nitro. Switched from a 1100MAH NiMH that got about 1-1.5 hours of run to a LIPO 2300mah and got 4+ hours of run time. I hate charging batteries.... I also run 3 hitec 985mg servos, with these servos when I turn off the TX or RX at full throttle, the throttle return spring pulls the throttle back to idle . Get a failsafe for signal issues.
