crambell -> belt cp blade tracking problem (5/11/2008 1:47:35 AM)

My son recently bought a Belt cp which after a few flights was in need of repair. We replaced the feathering shaft and main shaft (the heli is the carbon upgrade with cnc upgrade). When it came to checking the main blade tracking we cannot seem to get the blades to track properly. We followed all the steps that are required ie. adjusting the linkages shorter and longer as was required but can't get it right. Are we missing something in doing this. Spent hours trying to get it tracking right. Also checked out the u-tube how to's.

Have you balanced the blades for CofG and weight?

Yes I have checked the c of g but I haven't checked the weight. Will do that and see what happens.

Do you have a pitch gauge? Is your swashplate level?

might as well start form the beginning to make sure everything is right.

Check ur swash, it has to be level. Then check blades for CG and weigh. Add weigh AT the CG point if possible. You replaced the feathering shaft with a new one so that should be good. When making adjustments to the rods you are only dong so by half turns and only one side at a time right?

I got turnbuckles for my K2 and it makes adjusting the blades to dead on a simple and easy thing to do.
