Status: offline 		I am a total noob, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. I have a Blade CP+ that I have been practicing hovering with for about three battery charges so far (four sets of main blades). I read about adding flybar weights in the manual, but would like some first hand experience from someone, will it help with the stability?

Status: offline 		Absolutely! Have them against the paddles for full affect; then after comfortable with that, You can move them in more about an inch at a time if You feel You want more response. Eventually remove them all together for maximum control sensitivity.

Would be a good thing if You are new.

Some people simply leave them on, but You can dial in EXPO in the TX to lower sensitivity near mid stick for the same affect, so most people lose the weights after awhile.

Status: offline 		I feel your pain. B400 wiped me around pretty good. First real helicopter and all. But to answer your question, yes. But be careful. Too much weight and when you say go left the bird will say when I get around to it. By then you may want to go right. There are many ways to do what you are trying to do but for me, learning how to set the craft up properly made a really big difference. Like day and night. But keep doing what you are doing, asking questions, and getting help and so on. Neat thing about this forum is everyone in it has a passion for helicopters. And Ill say it, it’s an addiction. Some say we need a 12 step program but nobody wants to quit.

Status: offline 		I love flybar weights for adding stability and slowing down the response of the heli. Using expo can help make the sticks less sensitive, but it won't add stability like the fly bar weights do. But like the others said, as you improve if you want to get into more acrobatic maneuvers you'll probably want to slide the weights in and eventually remove them to get a quicker response.

Status: offline 		Yes the flybar weights do tame the CP series down. If you had a programmable transmitter you could add expo or reduce travel adjustmet for the free version minus the transmitter.
