BuCkMaStEr119. -> GREAT DAY (5/11/2008 3:33:10 AM)

My Traxxsa rustler is running like a champ, ive had this car for ever and i just put a 2.5r in it last year and i fixed it today due to 1.Completely tearing the gears apart 2. broken shock tower 3. glueing tires for the 40th time. just got done driving it and i drove a full tank run time about 30-35 minutes and the hottest temp. it reached was 140F...wow this motor is amazing its about 70-75 degrees outside.

robbio4422 -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/11/2008 3:39:20 AM)

140? thats really low... my cool temps are like 230... and up to 290 when its getting real hot!

BuCkMaStEr119. -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/11/2008 4:00:11 AM)

same as you although if i have a tank or two of 3/4th's being WOT then it reaches a scary 330[:@] although i see it help the rest of the tanks out after that one high temp run.sort of allows the engine to open up a little ya know

freakin 30-35 minutes on one tank????????[sm=confused.gif]

BuCkMaStEr119. -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/11/2008 4:50:11 PM)

yea i couldnt believe it to and i was driving it like i usually drive it somewhat like high speed runs but i like to get off the throttle and get back on it and it always makes it wheelie.

my car has no special things done to the motor either just a better air filter and a traxxas resonator single chamber pipe, which only has like 3 tanks through it.

pictures are below:

you might wanna be a lil concerned about your run time- 30-35 on one tank is extremely rare even for me just idling around ...i think it may be lean thats why it was running so good. just a suggestion if not have fun dude.

rclynx -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/11/2008 10:02:25 PM)

I hate to split hairs and I'm not trying to start a flame war but I have to say unless you have a 290cc fuel tank, there is no way you can get run times like that [:@]

if it was running lean it would be way hotter than 140 degrees...... my friend has a 2.5r in his t-maxx and it will run really really good and the second it runs out of gas he goes over and picks it up by the motor sometimes... and than some days it gets hot and runs the same way... its weird.... if it runs good and isnt super hot run it!!! [:D]

MJAsony2305@aol.com -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 12:49:37 AM)

well not necasarily his temps may not be 140...the lense on my temp gun got dirty and it red i was -6 degrees and excessive temps on my engine when it was opperating at normal temps....just saying 140 is unheard of unless running a nova head or a monster sized cooling head. so 140 sounds farfetched and 30-35 minutes on a 75cc tank yeah and i am the queen of england right? but something doesn't exactly sound right here[X(]

BuCkMaStEr119. -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 4:33:26 AM)

i know it doesnt seem right but i did happen i drove it today and it didnt run like it did yesterday it got about half tank and died running a temp of about 190, i guess the weather and everything was just perfect yesterday or something because i couldnt believe it.

hollylx88 -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 4:38:39 AM)

where are you checking your engine temps?

BuCkMaStEr119. -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 4:49:48 AM)

i used 2 different temp gauges when i took the temp yesterday i used This first then i didnt think it was right and then i used This and the duratrax was about 143 and the odonnell was about 141

pieky22 -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 5:02:03 AM)

it is possible to get 30 minute run times, and if it was too lean, he would burn a gloe plug, a few days ago i got around 25 minutes while doing high speed runs across the 300 yard+ dirt field behind my house. i couldnt believe it! and the engine wasnt even hot, i dripped a drop of water on it and it didnt sizzle...maybe we just got them tuned pretty well? i looked at my glow plug afterwards and it looked a little rich...who knows, all i know is it is possible

MJAsony2305@aol.com -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 12:15:53 PM)

well imma have to put my fuel tank on some miracle grow to get run times like that.[:D]

rclynx -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/12/2008 6:47:34 PM)

Yea your probably right.................they have special air down there in San Deigo and I even heard cars get 100 mpg just because of it [&:]

MJAsony2305@aol.com -> RE: GREAT DAY (5/13/2008 1:52:23 AM)
